The release of the '90s-style Warhammer 40,000: Boltgun has crept up on us, with the game set to arrive for Xbox One, Xbox Series X and Xbox Series S as soon as next Tuesday, May 23rd, and it's looking fantastic so far!

There's plenty of Warhammer 40K: Boltgun footage out there if you look around for it, and IGN has also revealed seven exclusive minutes of gameplay today which you can watch in the video up above.

If you're interested, here are the release times for next week as well:

As we've mentioned before, Warhammer 40,000: Boltgun is described as featuring "classic, frenetic FPS gameplay and the stylish visuals of your favourite 90’s retro shooters", and the nice bit is that it's only £16.19 / $19.79 to buy on Xbox.

The style is obviously reminiscent of classic DOOM and even the outstanding Xbox Game Pass shooter Prodeus, and if Warhammer 40K: Boltgun can get anywhere close to those two games, we'll have a great new release on our hands!

"Play a battle-hardened Space Marine on a perilous mission across the galaxy, as they battle against the Chaos Space Marines and daemons of Chaos."

"In glorious boomer shooter style, unleash your devastating Space Marine arsenal as you blast through an explosion of sprites, pixels and blood. Run, jump and charge across huge levels to shoot, shred and slice the worst heretics across the galaxy!"
